Deepwater Cusk Eel
The most exciting part of diving where you drift offshore at night in very deep water is that you never know what you might run into. I was very lucky to come across this extraordinary fish du- ring a dive off Palm Beach, Florida. The Bony-eared Donkey (A- canthonus armatus) is extremely rare and is one of the most sought-after subjects for photographers. The young ones look stunning with their extremely long filaments swaying with infinite grace as they swim in the deep sea.
