Glorious hunting
I took this photo while I was witnessing some extraordinary hunting in the wild nature of the Okavango Delta in Botswana.The day had started with an attack by a dozen lions on an unfortunate buffalo. But the best part was yet to come. In the middle of the night, the lions were attacked by a pack of at least thirty hyenas, who were trying to steal their prey! The next morning, this large male lion returned to what was left of the carcass and I managed to catch his eye through the bones, creating this portrait. At that moment, I felt the king’s power in my heart.
