Winner Birds 14°edition

Lakshitha Karunarathna’s love for the nature and wildlife was first inspired by the works of naturalist broadcaster Sir David Attenborough. From a very young age, he studied nature subjects using still and motion documentary, before beginning wildlife photography. A Tea Taster by profession, he travels destinations in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Arctics to fulfill his childhood dream of getting close to nature and making memories of them through his camera. A long standing fan of fine art and monochrome wildlife pictures, he believes in the power of photography to affect conservation awareness.
