Running Away
The horned vipers Cerastes gasperettii are very common and dreaded in Kuwait, especially where I work, at a TV and Radio Transmitter Station in the middle of the desert. It is a place full of scorpions and snakes. I found this small viper in my break ti- me under a piece of wood near our building. I tried to scare it away and prevent the workers from killing it, as they usually do. I took this shot while the snake was running away.
