Stoat’s game
Scientists have observed stoats engage in such performances on many occasions. Many liken this behaviour to dancing, although opinions are divided on the reasons for these leaps and twists. Sometimes, the dances are performed in front of a rabbit or bird, perhaps in an attempt to confuse or distract potential prey. At other times, the dance seems simply to be an expression of exuberance.
