Lakes Region, Chile. In April 2015, the Calbuco volcano erupted after more than 40 years of calm. It was a very brief eruption, but one that caused the evacuation of hundreds of people living nearby. At night, terror struck the entire region after a gigantic electrical storm associated with the eruption, a scientific phenomenon known as a “dirty storm”.
